The most World Marathon Majors races won by a male athlete is nine, achieved by Eliud Kipchoge (Kenya) between 12 October 2014 and 28 April 2019.
The World Marathon Majors currently consist of the annual marathons in London, New York, Boston, Chicago, Tokyo and Berlin – plus the Olympic and the World Championship marathons.
Kipchoge has won the London Marathon four times, the Berlin Marathon three times and the Chicago Marathon once. He also claimed victory at the 2016 Olympic marathon in Rio de Janeiro. Kipchoge has won the overall World Marathon Majors men’s title a record four times.
