Best-selling interactive gaming toys

According to publisher Activision, as of February 2015 the Skylanders series had sold a staggering 240 million toys, out‑selling established brands such as Star Wars and Transformers for three years in a row. Activision announced that the franchise had made a whopping $3 billion (£1.9 billion) since its inception. Skylanders also holds the record for largest videogame hardware accessory brand in terms of revenue, with sales of $541.1 million in 2014, according to Euromonitor. As well as interactive toys, this category also includes accessories such as controllers and motion sensors and the Skylanders brand sits above Disney Infinity (2nd; $365.7 million), Microsoft Kinect (4th; $310 million) and Nintendo amiibo (7th; $118.2 million).
