For each LEGO® videogame, UK developer Traveller's Tales builds each of the game's models in physical LEGO® bricks before its artists digitally transport them into the game. As of 21 October 2015, Barad-dur Tower in LEGO® The Lord of the Rings (2013) is the tallest structure the team has built. The sky-piercing entity measured 2.5 metres (8 ft 2 in) in height and used a total of 53,673 bricks.
The number of bricks used in the tower is divided up as follows: Top section (5,046 bricks), Mid (6,311), Base Top (8,759), Base Bottom (7,145), Base Bottom Ground (18,128), Path with Towers (4,882), and Large Tower x 2 (3,402).
