American-born singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada (Japan) has three of Oricon's top 10 best-selling albums of all time, led by her Japanese debut First Love (1999), which has achieved sales of 7.6 million copies. Distance (2001; 4.4 million copies sold) and Deep River (2002; 3.6 million copies sold) are the fourth and eighth best-sellers in Japan, respectively, as of May 2017.
