Ledecky won the 800 m and 1,500 m freestyle titles at the 22nd World Aquatics Championships in Singapore to extend her women’s record to 23 gold medals. She has claimed freestyle world titles in the 200 m (one), 400 m (four), 800 m (seven), 1,500 m (six), 4 x 100 m (one) and 4 x 200 m (four). Only Michael Phelps has won more swimming golds (26) at the championships.
