Demetrious Johnson (USA) made 11 consecutive defences of his UFC flyweight title between 26 January 2013 and 7 October 2017. His run ended on 4 August 2018, when he was defeated by Henry Cejudo on a split decision at UFC 227.

Johnson surpassed the record of 10 set by Brazil’s Anderson Silva with victory over Ray Borg at UFC 216, achieved via a suplex-to-armbar submission in the fifth round.
