In 2019, Sebastian Szubski set the record for the farthest distance by canoe / kayak on flat water in 24 hours at 251.71 km (156.41 miles). Then, in 2023, he set the record for the fastest time to row the length of the Thames by single canoe/kayak (Teddington lock) in 1 day 2 hr 16 min 55 sec. In 2024, he teamed up with Olympic partner Sebastián Cuattrin, to challenge the 'team of two' record for the same route. They were successful in surpassing the previous record by 2 hours 15 minutes.
