The highest altitude trail half marathon is 5,894 m and was organised by Z Adventures (Qatar) and Killiwarrior Expeditions (Tanzania) at Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, on 15 July 2022.
First places finishers in the respective male and female races were Harvey Mitchell-Divers (UK) with a time of 3 hours, 22 minutes and 58 seconds and Tamina Vogel (Germany) with a time of 5 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds.
