Most people performing sun salutations simultaneously

The most people performing sun salutations simultaneously is 22,122 and was achieved by Ayush Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh (India), on occasion of International Yoga Day, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, on 21 June 2025.

The attempt was made as part of the 11th International Yoga Day, led by a yoga instructor on making cycles of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) where each sun salutation cycle consisted a flow of 12 graceful yoga postures. The attempt lasted over 19 minutes and most of the participants were school children from the tribal communities of Andhra Pradesh
