The fastest speed achieved by a Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) is 139.45 kmh (86.65 mph) and was achieved by Todd Reichert (Canada) riding his Team AeroVelo's Eta bike at the World Human Powered Speed Challenge near Battle Mountain in Nevada, USA, on 19 September 2015.
Reichert set the record three times in three days, going 85.71 mph on the 17th and 86.50 mph on the 18th, before setting the record at 86.65 mph.
