The largest wedge gate valve measures 114 inches and was achieved by Orion S.p.a (Italy), in Trieste, Italy, on 11 December 2025.

The largest wedge gate valve was produced by Orion, Commissioned by Hyundai for a project of Aramco and Total. Orion S.p.a decided to attempt this record title to demonstrate Orion’s ability to design and manufacture extremely large industrial components while maintaining the highest standards of precision and quality. The goal was to set a new technical benchmark and highlight the nearly one year of continuous development and production behind the valve.
