The loudest dog bark measured 124 dB and was produced by 76 dogs in an event organised by Petmate, in Washington Park, Colorado, US on 7 November 2009.
The event was organise by Petmate, to help raise food for local dog rescure centres and promote their line of dog toys named 'Dogzilla.' Owners donated a tin of unopened dog food. The barking was measured by a calibrated type I SPL sound metre.
