The most double jellyfish extinguishes in one minute is 41, and was achieved by Ian Stewart (Canada) in North River, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 28 December 2021.

When Ian was in school, he would enjoy reading the Guinness World Records books every year and learning all of the facts inside to the point he could memorize them. In time, he developed a love of magic, juggling and all things related. It then occurred to him that he could possibly attempt to break a record of his own.

Ian has worked with fire for most of his life. He has been a fire juggler, fire eater, fireworks technician and even a firefighter. One day, he was flipping through a GWR book and he saw a photo of someone breaking the record for the "most double jellyfish extinguishes in one minute". He thought the existing attempt was good, but maybe he could beat it? He headed home and begun practicing. It then became clear within minutes that he could potentially break it - even shatter it!

As Ian had extensive experience working with fire, he already knew how to do 'jellyfish' so he only practiced for around a week before doing the attempt. However, it was difficult as he had an injured shoulder and wasn't able to go as fast as he would have liked, but he was still confident he could achieve a respectable number.

Ian already has an impressive collection of GWR certificates on his wall including titles such as "most consecutive under leg chainsaw juggling catches" and "most balloons burst with a single bolt shot from a crossbow backwards" and he's hoping to obtain even more. He's currently planning on doing a record involving magic tricks and possibly a a super fast, classic sideshow style stunt.
