The greatest distance covered driving on ice in one week is 798.3 km (496.041 miles) and was achieved by Gary O'Keeffe (Ireland), on Lake Baikal, Russia from 16 February to 22 February 2020.


Gary decided to undertake this challenge as he believed it is was one the "toughest challenges imaginable". In doing so, he travelled the entire length of Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia.
