The greatest distance rowed by a female team in 24 hours is 273.95 km (170.22 miles) and was achieved by Hannah Peel, Sarah Ockendon, Sandra Mepham, Carol Cornell, Naomi Ashcroft and Helena Smalman-Smith (all UK) on the river Thames, UK, on 10 June 2016.

The team of six women used a quadruple scull boat. Four of them rowed at a time whilst the other two rested on land.

The journey was made between a pair of small island known together as Steven’s Eyot in Kingston upon Thames and the Middlesex buttress of Hampton Court Bridge. The team made a total of 48 laps of their route.
